It’s not quite as bad here in the UK. We have the money-grabbing politicians, the media, business, Rupert Murdoch and the Royal Family.

    Ho hum.

Hi there. I am from the Ukraine. I don’t know how things are in your country but it looks like we have much in common. In my country there are no politicians and politicians don’t really care about people. They are just lobbying someone else’s interests … normally their own. Sadly, but that is reality!

The same is here in Armenia. No politician thinks about people. It’s funny!

Completely agreed with that pic. At least that is absolutely true for third world countries especially Asian Countries. I think that Media is the strongest pillar of Asian countries through which they brain wash their masses.

Yeah, it is sad but that cartoon is certainly true. Until we completely remove money from the political process that is how it will be. Lobbyists, fundraisers and businesses will have more power than the people. Easier said than done though.

Though this comic does ring true, the situation in the US is far better than in many other countries like Ukraine (referencing the post that is 2 above this one). Overall we have it pretty good!

unfortunately, society simply don’t understand this lesson and people are controlled completely. What we can do? Do clever decisions with our money.

Take Romania’s case and you will see that there can be much worse in a so-called democracy. Here, politicians decreased the social funding for everyone, including the financial help given to the new mothers while in their maternity leave, they left senior citizens with so little money monthly that they have to decide what to pay for: the medicine they need for their various conditions or the monthly bills that keep them not to lose their homes in debt and shame after a lifetime work. Instead of improving the hospitals by giving them funding, they closed many of them, leaving lots of people with no place to work anymore, the salaries are low, and they wanted to destroy also the emergency service (the SMURD) so that people will have to pay for 2 emergency services (one from the hospitals – which we pay by default and the other from private hospitals). So I guess some politicians had their own businesses to put on their priority lists disregarding the jobs they were paid for. That is, doing something beneficial for the people they lead.

It really is true! There are so many things that are happening today in our society. And barely do you find poor people living a luxurious and happy life. I think this should be the main focus of the government these days — to think about the less fortunate, the jobless and the needy to make life easy and fun.
